Imagine.
What if you could reawaken your inner artist and free your creativity?
What if you could playfully learn to make better art?
What if you could reclaim your voice and freely express your truths?
What if you could reinvigorate your art?
What if you could reawaken your inner artist and free your creativity?
What if you could playfully learn to make better art?
What if you could reclaim your voice and freely express your truths?
What if you could reinvigorate your art?
You find joy and grow intensively both as an artist and an individual.
You feel alive, playful, relaxed, fulfilled, passionate and motivated.
You are proud of yourself for having had the courage to pursue your wants.
You get into the creative flow and experience an abundance of inspiration and new ideas.
Hi, I’m Vera Stanković, founder of Rabbit the Creator – artist, creative director, and educator with more than 25 years of experience.
I enjoy helping courageous women reawaken their creative side and express themselves authentically through arts, whether beginners or experienced creatives who feel drained or stuck. So they end up reconnected with themselves, feeling ageless, relaxed, fulfilled, and … alive.
Once upon a time, there was a creative young girl… ah, I’m joking. No fairy tale, not at all.
My story as an artist and a creative professional started while I was a postgraduate student in painting.
(I studied parallelly art and computer science and finished both but haven’t spent a day working as an engineer.)
I got a job as a creative in an advertising agency and started giving art classes to children on weekends.
Soon after that, I got my master’s degree in painting and had my first one-woman show. I was walking on clouds. Life was absolutely terrific. And two months after this huge success… bombs started falling on my city (Belgrade).
Had a slight feeling that before they even started for real, my fantastic corporate, artistic, and teaching careers dissipated into the smoke. All three. Poof, poof, poof.
So I started afresh in a new country. Got a corporate job in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Fell in love. Became a creative director and for the next decade or so kept leading creative teams of designers, copywriters, and illustrators, getting international awards for creativity, jurying creative work on advertising festivals… All in all, I was working 10 to 12 hours a day in my corporate job.
But there was a but. I sacrificed my art. Not making art left me feeling empty, not fulfilled. I was hungry for creating art.
So I gathered all my courage and resources for a comeback to my art while still in my corporate job. It was far from easy, but the experience made me learn a lot (and made the foundation of my approach to teaching adults).
Soon I fell in love with clay and sculptural installations and after corporate hours worked even more in the studio. I got my first art award in Austria and it gave me the boost to start planning my artistic career. This led to more and more exhibitions and… I finally started to feel whole.
I became a mother only at 45. Our son became my new teacher. When he was two, I realized where my new priorities were and finally left the corporate world. I made art and started teaching again, now in my own studio.
Rabbit the Creator was born.
Many fantastic women artists have worked with me since.
I feel grateful to be able to contribute to a world…
…where the creative voices of women are more seen and heard…
… a world where it is never too late to make art, have fun and express who you are…
… where creative souls are free, growing, and feel happy…
… a better world.
